Hair Restoration and Reconstruction

Hair restoration and reconstruction can be seen as a ground-breaking method of restoring hair loss following trauma suffered as a result of accident, burns or cancer.

The expertise, experience and skills of the surgeons are vital to ensuring that the applicant’s expectations and outcomes are managed successfully. The suitability for restoration and reconstructive surgery following traumatic hair loss is based solely on the referral from the treating physician and the consultation process with the surgeon specialising in hair transplant surgery

My experience.. is proof that hair transplant surgery performed by a qualified and experienced surgeon and his team can make a real and lasting difference.

Hair Systems and Services

Hair Systems can be provided when the referral and consultation processes deem the treatment as the most appropriate option when dealing with hair loss caused by trauma or illness. The hair system MAY be used in addition to the surgical option or in preparation for surgery, whilst completing treatment.

The hair system provider will assess the hair loss and damage and use the client’s own hair characteristics to design and fit a hair system to existing hair or create a personalised hair -piece.

It has been a most pleasant experience dealing with you… I thank you for your excellent service and look forward to meeting you at my next check-up.

Psychotherapy and Counselling Services

It is well documented and understood that traumatic hair loss can have detrimental effect on the health (psychological, mental, emotional, physical) of the individual. The effects can lead to an impaired view of themselves as individuals and a distorted perception of their value as a person. In some cases, the surgical option of hair restoration/reconstruction and hair systems may not significantly lead to improved psychological wellbeing. Thus the option of counselling may be considered and offered.
